Here are some ideas of what to put in your shoeboxes for
Operation Christmas Child.
Most children never have used eating utensils and a lot of them that go places to get food, don't have away to hold their food, or take any home. You can find cheap utensils at Walmart.
Stuff Water Bottles
Water bottles are great for shoeboxes, but you can also use them to save space by stuffing them with toiletries, marbles, socks, a t-shirt...etc
How do you fit them in? You deflate them! Just make sure to include a small pump.
Include clothes pins and line to help young girls with their chores.
Sewing kits are also great to girls with their chores and help them repair their clothes.
Fishing Kits (that are safe).
Make sure your items are approved to go in the shoebox, but send some fishing supplies to a little boy.
Socks, Underwear, clothes, hats...
A fresh pair of anything is great for kids who rarely get new clothing
toothpaste, floss, toothbrushes, brushes/combs, lip balm, wash cloth, deodorant, mild bar soap, Bandaids, compact mirror, nail clippers or file...etc
