Get to
know Pastor John and his family
The Marriage Pastor John and Patti Stewart were married on March 25th, 1989 at New Life Community Church in Artesia, CA. They met at that same church when they were both in junior high school and long before dating (as seniors in high school) they were close friends. They moved to Moreno Valley five months after being married when Pastor John accepted a call to work at Palm Canyon.
The Children Brayden is the oldest son and was born on May 8, 1994... Mother's Day! It was the best Mother's Day gift Patti's ever received. He is currently a sophomore at Calvary Chapel Christian School where he is on the varsity baseball team playing. He loves baseball, the computer, video games and reading. Brayden is strong member of our High School Group at Palm Canyon and plays keyboards for Only Mortal (our high school praise band) and for Rock N Faith (the band for our Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings). Trent was born four years and four days after Brayden on May 12, 1998. He is a sixth grader at Calvary Chapel Christian School, plays on the jr. high baseball team, and helps lead worship for chapel each week. He loves sports, TV, and video games. He's an important part of our Middle School group at church and enjoys his many friendships. He also plays drums and is a part of Rock N Faith with his brother. Most of the boy’s free time is spent with each other, the family, their neighborhood friends, and church. They also love God and are growing in their knowledge and understanding of Him.
The Wrap Up Pastor John is one lucky man. A great wife, terrific children, and a nice home...God has been good. Time is of the essence for the family and with so much going on at church, it's nice sometimes just to get away and spend some quality time together. It is Pastor John and Patti's desire that their family would grow closer together as they grow closer to God. They want to raise their boys to know Jesus and to share the gifts God has given them to make a difference in the Kingdom of God (as they are trying to do themselves).
